Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Udupi Sugandha (a social enterprise in collaboration with We Care Society and the District Administration of Udupi) (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through udupisugandha.com.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and any gift note you add.
• Enquiries: the details you share in our contact and corporate gifting forms.
• Payment confirmation: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive and keep the payment reference and status so we can match it to your order. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay’s secure checkout and never reach or are stored by us.
• Basic technical data: such as your browser type, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.

How we use it

• To take payment for your order and confirm it with you.
• To pack, ship and deliver your order, and to send you order and tracking updates.
• To reply to your enquiries and provide customer support.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

• Razorpay, our payment gateway, which receives your name, email and phone number to process your payment under its own privacy policy.
• Courier partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
• Service providers who host our website and send our emails (for example Cloudflare and our email provider), only as needed to run the store.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Storage and security

Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems and is available only to the people who process orders. We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your order and meet legal requirements (generally up to 8 years for tax records).

Cookies and visit counts

We use your browser’s local storage to remember the items in your cart. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

To know how many people visit, we count page views on our own servers: the page, the site that sent you there, your country and city (from your connection), and your type of device and browser. We don’t store your IP address or set a cookie for this. Visits are grouped under an anonymous code that changes every day, so they can’t be linked to you or across days, and the counts are deleted after about 13 months.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by writing to contact@udupisugandha.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
